**£37,500- 40.000 per annum plus (dependent on experience)**

The focus of the role is varied and involves doing Site surveys, being part of the design team, working with structural steel

The role will focus on gathering drawings and specifications, calculating material and equipment requirements, and setting up production methods.

The professional will be hands-on experience with computer-aided design (CAD) software and are familiar with building processes,

responsible for the creation of presentation drawings, Structural Steel Detailing, 3D modelling, and site evaluations for metal structures at sites around the Southwest

**Job Duties/Responsibilities**:

- Draft plans in AutoCAD and 3D modelling,
- Create technical drawings using AutoCAD, Prepare documents and drawings for engineers
- The details drawing will be used by the fabrication teams and installations teams
- Collaborate with architects and engineers and adjust based on their advice
- The role will involve providing technical support and advice to clients and ensuring a smooth and accurate flow of information.
- Develop presentation into Structural Steel details and drawings
- Project take offs and estimates
- Assist in material procurement

**Education/Experience/Skills**
- Certificate in Drafting Technology or CAD or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience, preferably in Structural Steel Detailing.
- Experience with Standard 3D AutoCad version 2010 or higher, Must be able to use office CAD
- Good communication skills, both oral and written, and ability to interact with personnel at all levels.
- Strong organizational and attention to detail skills required.
- Have a good understanding of building regulations
- This professional will have a wealth of knowledge and proven work background in producing engineering drawings of structural steel.
- Be able to manage own workload
- Have excellent communication skills

**Requirements & Environmental Conditions**:
Ability to work in a Fabrication Shop checking jobs in progress, on site work producing surveys

Full time hours, salary paid
