MD Research Post This is an exciting opportunity for a full-time research post at Torbay Hospital South Devon Upper GI Unit. The post would involve working towards an MD thesis registered with the University of Plymouth. The clinical commitment of the post would be to the on-call middle grade rota for general surgery and 2 half day sessions per week of clinical commitment. The rest of the time would be committed to the research project.

We are an active unit academically and in pioneering UGI surgery. We are an internationally recognised advanced benign biliary training centre. You would be provided with a desk and computer for your job, the MD fees would be included as part of the Job. Your supervisor would Mr Stuart Andrews Clinical Director of surgery, President of BBUGSS and Consultant Upper GI Surgeon.

The thesis would be based around bile duct exploration, publication of novel outcome data and running an RCT. The salary will be based on your NHS grade and new deal junior contract for current middle grade rota. To discuss further please contact Stuart Andrews/Kirk Bowling via (secretary number)
