Connect2Hampshire are currently recruiting for Deputy Manager on a 6 month contract to work in one of Hampshire County Council Children's residential home in Havant, Hampshire.

As a Depty Manager you will assist the manager with planning and developing services; setting, monitoring and maintaining standards, managing change and Deputise for the manager

**Main Responsibilities/Accountabilities**:
Support the manager to lead and manage the home in accordance with the approach, ethos and outcomes within the Statement of Purpose. Manage delegated aspects of work and associated budgets
- Deputise in the absence of the manager in all areas of their work.
- Demonstrate the ability to make and sustain positive relationships with children and their families.
- Understand the needs of children in the home and use this understanding to work directly with children and colleagues and to lead the staff team
- Lead on the development of individual care plans and placements plans. Attend and make significant contribution to meetings relating to the child, representing the views of the child, the home and HCC in a positive fashion
- Support the manager to ensure that children's basic needs are met
- Support the manager in ensuring that day-to-day practice meets the requirement to continually and actively assess the risks to each child and the arrangements in place to protect them.
- Take reasonable care for own Health and Safety. Take swift and decisive action to ensure the safe functioning of the home. Support the manager in ensuring that staff access and follow procedure
