As a result of National Institute for Health Research (NIHR), Research for Patient Benefit (RfPB) funding, an exciting opportunity has arisen for two enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join the research team for trial: "Mental Health Prevention and Promotion in General Practice Settings: A Feasibility Study."

We have funding for two full-time roles for 20 months, starting in March 2023 and running until September 2024. One post will be based within Pendle West Primary Care Network (PCN) and the other in Burnley East PCN, both within the Burnley region of Lancashire. There will be a host practice, but there will be travel between the other practices within the PCN and into Chorley, were a central office is based.

These roles are an excellent opportunity for Psychology graduates to build-upon and develop both their research and clinical delivery skills. You will receive training to enhance your clinical skills, so you will feel confident in your role. You will also receive weekly clinical supervision with a Consultant Clinical Psychologist.

Clinically, you will be delivering brief interventions, using a menu-based approach, to help prevent someone's mental health from deteriorating and promote their emotional wellbeing. This will include completing a psychological assessment, structured formulation, psychologically informed intervention and subsequent follow-up appointments.
