Due to our continued success, we now require an additional team member to join our commercial garden nursery working Mon to Fri 8am to 4.30pm offering a generous starting salary and the chance to work outdoors with plants We have on site parking and canoffer 15% staff discount on our plants too The role of Gardening and Stock Assistant, is the perfect opportunity for someone who enjoys working outdoors, doesn’t mind getting muddy and is happy to carry out a range of order picking, stock and gardening tasksto ensure our client orders are fulfilled in an accurate and timely manner.
Ideally you will have worked with plants or in a garden or nursery environment but you may just enjoy gardening as a hobby and be familiar with plants.
Your duties will include:

- Ensure that all orders are picked accurately
- Ensure that all plants in the order are cleaned ready for delivery
- Ensure that any quality and quantity issues are reported
- Pick up the individual order sheets and labels from the tray.
- Collect the plants for the order from the nursery beds.
- Clean and tidy plants and place on the delivery bed with customer label.
- Complete and return discrepancy forms accurately.
- Communicate any quality issues discovered with the sales team.
- Assist in the maintenance of the orders prior to dispatch.

To be successful, you should be happy working outdoors, with plants and be interested in this sector and have a good eye for detail and the ability to work from picking lists to ensure orders are despatched accurately.
