**The Role**:
To provide a dietetic service to a range of patients within the Lanarkshire area. This is a rotational post across acute and community settings. Patient care will be delivered across a variety of settings including the patient’s own home / homely setting, inpatient settings and outpatient clinics.

There will be a focus on nutritional support within this role, however, some patients will require advice for other conditions e.g. GI disorders, overweight/obesity, enteral feeding.

**Additional Information Specific to the Role**
- The post holder will understand and implement acts, policies and guidelines within relevant areas of practice.
- To act on behalf of team leaders for operational issues, to provide clinical support and contribute to service development including representation at meetings as required.
- The role will provide a range of clinical experience across acute and community dietetics.
- The role also provides the opportunity for uni and multidisciplinary group working, and to assist in service improvement work e.g. development of care pathways
- Delivery of training to health and social care colleagues, and dietetic students

**What we'll need you to bring**:

- Registered Dietitian with valid HCPC Registration
- The post holder will be required to demonstrate excellent team working skills with the ability to work using own initiative
- Effective listening, communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work with people and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Excellent time management skills
- Working knowledge of basic information technology

**It would be great if you also have**:

- Experience of working in general ward or community clinical setting
- Experience of multi-disciplinary team working
- Experience of working within a domiciliary visit setting
- Interest and experience of working in nutritional support, enteral feeding and General Dietetics (GP clinics)
- Car driver with a valid driving licence

This role will be based in Community Dietetics within Beckford St
