Our client is a leading timber processing company based in Buckingham, known for their exceptional quality products and commitment to customer satisfaction. They are currently seeking a dedicated Trainee Machine Operator to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a friendly atmosphere, train to become a skilled Machine Operator and contribute to the success of our client's operations.

**As a Machine Operator you will**:

- Operate and maintain various timber processing machinery, such as saws, planers, and routers, ensuring efficient and accurate production.
- Set up machines according to product specifications, including adjusting cutting blades, feed rates, and other parameters.
- Monitor machine operations to detect any malfunctions or deviations from standards and take corrective actions as necessary.
- Conduct regular inspections of machines to ensure proper functioning, cleanliness, and adherence to safety protocols.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn-out parts to ensure optimal machine performance.
- Collaborate with other team members to coordinate production schedules and ensure timely completion of orders.
- Inspect finished timber products for quality, including dimensions, smoothness, and accuracy, and make adjustments as needed.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Report any issues, concerns, or improvements related to machinery, processes, or safety to the supervisor.

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience as a Machine Operator or production would be beneficial
- Attention to detail and the ability to produce high-quality work within specified tolerances.
- Good physical stamina and the ability to lift and manoeuvre heavy timber materials.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and knowledge of relevant safety procedures.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Punctuality and reliability to meet production deadlines.

**Benefits**:

- Competitive starting hourly rate of £11.50 per hour going to up to £13 per hour after 12 weeks in addition to well paid overtime
