This large, well established and well-known optician are now looking for an Optical Assistant to join their team in the Weymouth area. You will be joining a large team of around 30 staff, in a professional yet clinical environment. This opportunity will be working full time, 8:30 to 5:30, 5-days per week, they are closed on Sundays and would include flexibility on Saturdays.

Competitive salary depending on experience - up to £23,000
Bonus scheme - sales based bonus (Approx £5,000 per annum)
Joining a large and supportive team of around 30 - they have a friendly and encouraging team ethos and will happily welcome an additional member of their team.

Responsibilities of the Optical Assistant

The role will entail dispensing spectacles to all levels, conducting pre-screen tests and contact lens teaches.
You will also be required to carry out frame styling, adjustments, collections and give patients advice on best options.
Reception duties and general admin will also be a part of the role and helping with the smooth running of the practice.

Requirements of the Optical Assistant

As an Optical Assistant within this practice you will work on the shopfloor in the dispensing team.
You will ideally have a minimum of 12 months’ experience within optics
Must be able to dispense to all levels comfortably.
Looking for an ambitious, career-driven, enthusiastic person
As a member of the stores team you will have a valued input with best practice and clinical compliance.

Compensation for the Optical Assistant

For your efforts a competitive salary of up to £23,000 is on offer as well as a rewarding bonus scheme that can look to earn you up to an additional £5k per annum.
You will also have the opportunity to develop your career and progress in either clinical (DO Course), management or even in Audiology.
