**Job Title: Healthy Lifestyles Instructor**

**Location: Reddish Hall School, Stockport**

**Salary: £20,000 - £30,000 per annum dependent upon experience**

**Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8am - 4pm**

**Contract: Permanent, Term Time Only**

**About the role**

As a Healthy Lifestyles Instructor for Reddish Hall School, you will be responsible for developing and improving the knowledge and skills of the student’s social, emotional wellbeing, personal development and PSHE topics through practical experiential lessons within the school. Managing the resources for the classroom and planning your lessons creatively will ensure pupils meet the curriculum and reach their maximum potential.

The post holder will be part of a strong dedicated team committed to providing our students with the very best outcomes through academic studies. The post holder will consult with the clinical team and PSHE lead weekly to support the development of the Healthy Lifestyles Programme. The role will be challenging but rewarding, working in a dynamic environment where you can make a real difference.

Following a thorough induction and training programme, your duties would include:

- Plan, prepare and deliver individual pupils or small groups in weekly PPA slots
- Devise, implement and review individual education and behaviour plans alongside other staff, communicating regularly with parents, carers, teaching and clinical staff to ensure consistency
- Positively contribute to the overall programme of learning for each pupil to ensure their progression
- Organise your classroom, resources and displays to provide a stimulating learning environment for students
- Safeguard all students and ensure their safety and wellbeing at all times

**Key Skills Required**
- Have proven experience of working with pupils with SEMH in either a primary or secondary setting
- Have a good working knowledge and understanding pupils mental health and SEN needs
- Confident and enthusiastic with the ability to create lesson plans to suit student needs
- Experience in supporting individuals with wellbeing and Mental Health Support

Reddish Hall School is an independent specialist day school for boys and girls aged from 5 to 18, catering for pupils with social emotional and mental health difficulties, with a high proportion of pupils who have a diagnosis of ASC. Our dedicated team work together to ensure successful outcomes for pupils who often arrive at the school with a troubled view of education and life.
