Pulmonary Rehabilitation Practitioner

Dorset County Hospital is the Lead Provider for Pulmonary Rehabilitation Services in Dorset. There is close working partnership with Dorset Healthcare to co-ordinate and deliver a Dorset-wide pulmonary rehab service. We are looking for a Physiotherapist, Nurse or Occupational Therapist with an interest in respiratory conditions, to join the expanding Pulmonary Rehabilitation Team.

The Pulmonary Rehabilitation practitioner is an experienced clinician who carries and independently manages a full specialist clinical caseload. They work within the Pulmonary Rehabilitation team and are responsible for supervising designated members of staff within the specialist team.

The post holder will assess patients for the suitability of joining Pulmonary Rehabilitation and will also participate in the rolling programme of education and exercise classes for patients to improve their management of their long-term lung condition.They will use clinical evaluation at the end of each course/session and signpost patients to other services as appropriate.

We are committed to audit and research across the speciality and take part in National audit reporting for Pulmonary Rehabilitation.

Secondment opportunity would also be considered.
