**CNC Machinist**

**Salary: £26,500 - £32,000 + Comprehensive Benefits Package**

**Location: Derby**

**Hours**:Monday to Thursday (07.00 - 15.30) Friday (07.00 - 13.30) 38 Hours Per Week**

**Overtime available**

Proactive are currently in search of multiple CNC Setters for a world leading Aerospace and Defence company based in Derby.

This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside some of the finest engineers in the UK, offering ample opportunities for progression and development.

Your role as a CNC Setter will involve setting and operation XYZ CNC Lathes using Siemens controls.

In this role you will operate in a busy, world-class engineering and manufacturing environment and will be responsible for delivering against the targets to meet customer requirements. Your responsibilities will include:

- Setting and operating XYZ CNC lathes using Siemens controls
- Working to client Technical Instructions and program manuals to deliver consistent, high quality machining across a variety of different components and product families.
- The interpretation of manufacturing drawings, customer drawings and written specifications.
- Assessment of whether the quality of components produced meet the required standards.
- Working within a team to resolve quality issues and ensure your work is being completed to plan.

**Skills / Experience**:
- CNC machining experience (setting and operating)
- Previous experience working within aerospace would be preferable.
- Clear and demonstrated understanding of drawing interpretation, calibration, dimensional and visual inspection.
- Pro-active and patient individual capable of managing your time effectively.
