South Coast Radiology (SCR) has a leadership and career opportunity for an Ultrasound (US) Sonographer to join SCR as part of our leadership Ultrasound committee to add valued and support to our sonographer team and services.
You will provide high quality and efficient sonography scanning services to our patients and referrers, with opportunity plan, coordinate, and assist management in the day-to-day operations ultrasound to make a positive impact.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be work as a team of 3 in the Modality Committee to support our clinics in the northern, central, and southern Gold Coast.
Sharing your passion for training and providing technical consultation to sonographers who utilise the US equipment, establishing protocols and procedures across SCR, your responsibilities include:

- Involved in and required attend regular Lead Sonographer Committee meetings.
- Review performance of US equipment in consultation with the Committee
- Sono Review templates design
- Review and create protocols to improve efficiency and clinical outcomes.
- Staff Rostering and leave management.
- Ensure patient protocols and patient bookings are performed correctly.
- Provide training and technical direction in the procedures and techniques used in imaging US examinations.
- Assisting in troubleshooting on equipment failures and challenges.
- Participating in education programs in US techniques.

About You
- Diploma of Medical Ultrasound of the Australasian Society for Ultrasound in Medicine or a Postgraduate Diploma in Ultrasound
- Must hold current ASAR registration.
- 5 years clinical experience using ultrasound equipment across a broad range of ultrasound examinations.
- Demonstrated professional competence and knowledge within a clinic setting.
- Good interpersonal skills to show patients care, compassion and empathy.
- Highly developed interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to communicate effectively with patients, staff, and other medical and non-medical personnel.
- Ability to determine priorities and meet deadlines.
