**Job Title: Ward Clerk - 37.5 hrs per week**

**About the Trust**
Wythenshawe Hospital is a major acute teaching hospital. We are recognised as a centre of clinical excellence and providing district general hospital services and specialist tertiary services to our local community
**What you’ll be responsible for**:
- The role entails providing admin support to the Team Manager and her deputy.
- Typing of correspondence and sending out confirmation letters.
- Answering the phone and other ad-hoc duties upon request.
- The person may be asked to work from either base. Support will be given by the manager and other admin support based around the city.
**You’ll learn the following whilst working at the trust**:
- An in depth understanding of the roles and responsibilities involved in working within the NHS
- Knowledge of the systems used, to effectively complete your role to the highest standard at all times
- A sense of teamwork, gained through working alongside and supporting colleagues from all levels, within the organisation
**You’ll have the following skills/experience**:
- System knowledge - Integra, NHS Supply Chain, EMIS or HIVE
- Previous typing skills
- Excellent IT skills
- Excellent organisational skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent telephone manner
- Microsoft Office package knowledge e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel
