Our client is recruiting for a Sous Chef that has experience within a fine dining restaurant, hotel or venue, or is used to catering for events and weddings. They are in an idyllic location, set in 35 acres of stunning Suffolk countryside in the Woodbridgearea. Their leadership team is now searching for an exceptional, open minded, truly focused, out of the box and energised leader to take on the Sous Chef role in their fully equipped kitchen. The Venue, Company and existing team all rock, they are lookingfor someone who has the same passion and mentality as them to produce memorable experiences.

**Duties of the role**:

- To assist in the day to day running of the kitchen, maintaining high standards of food preparation and presentation
- To maintain food standards and quality procedures set out in the food manual
- To supervise in the preparation and presentation of buffet or any part of wedding preparation
- To cover Head Chef’s role as and when required for holidays and sickness
- Any other kitchen duties as and when required
- Strict adherence to company health and safety policies and procedures
- Any other duties as specified by your Line Manager, Head chef or Director
- To show those around you the passion you have for food and providing excellent quality dining experience for all guests, customers and clients
- Shifts will be worked over 7 days a week and hours will vary depending on events

**What our client is looking for**:

- Minimum two years experience as a Sous Chef
- Due to the rural location, own transport will be required however for the probation period live in accommodation can be arranged.
- Organised and methodical
- Well presented, polite and friendly with excellent communication skills
- Have a flexible and adaptable attitude and be able to work as part of a team and be able to use your own initiative.
