Working within a bustling atmosphere as part of a friendly and enthusiastic team this role, of Welcome & Service Assistant, will play a core part in providing fantastic customer service, while helping people connect with nature and outdoor activities in a wonderful place.

The role will be based in Mullion Cove where, working alongside the Mullion Cove Cooperative Winch Society, you will help with day-to-day harbour operations while welcoming visitors from all over the world, ensuring everyone has a safe and enjoyable visit.

**This role is an hourly paid, fixed term role from 24th July - 10th Sept. **Wherever possible we strive to offer a consistent working pattern, but we’re looking for flexibility as it may be necessary for us to alter this pattern from time to suit the needs of the business. We’d give you as much notice of this as possible. You'll be expected to work from 11am-6pm on your workdays.

What it's like to work here:National Trust places from Lizard to Penrose range from the dramatic coastal scenery around Lizard Point to the beautiful ancient woodland around the Helford River and beyond to the Gunwalloe valley. Two miles to the north of Lizard Village lies the secluded Kynance Cove, considered one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. Mullion Cove is a beautiful and bustling little cove complete with an operational harbour.

What you'll be doing:As the largest conservation charity in Europe we work hard to raise funds, so that we can continue to care for all the heritage in our trust. Visitors are a vital part of what we do, so you’ll be responsible for ensuring that you provide an excellent service to all our visitors, every day. As a Welcome & Service Assistant, it’s your role to ensure that the welcome our visitors receive is perfect, setting them up for an amazing experience for the rest of the day.

You’ll be responsible for answering queries and making sure visitors can find everything they need for their visit. Understanding how and why we engage our supporters is key. Working with our spirit of place you’ll work with the visitor welcome team to link everything we do back to our cause and the on-going work we do.

You’ll deliver high standards of presentation at the property, and ensure all our communications with our visitors are clear and consistent, from the first click on the website, to the posters and signs around the property.
