As part of the hospital’s Digital Strategy, we are focusing on developing the Trust’s Electronic Patient Record (EPR) and moving towards a paperless workforce.
A significant projectin this Strategy is the Paperless Inpatients Project(PIP). The project in its entirety (all work streams) aims to complete the electronic patient record and remove the use of paper-based notes from all inpatient areas.
The post-holder will be one of a team of Trainers who will prepare and deliver training to a variety of staff within the RUH. They will be responsible for ensuring that staff are fully equipped to utilise the relevant clinical systems for this project within the Trust.
The secondary focus of this job will be support of users during the ‘cut over’ period and offer initial assistance to people who are having problems. As first port of call they need to be both confident computer users and trained to become expert system users.
The role will require staff to work shifts and unsociable hours on a rota basis.

1. Training existing staff members (either as individuals or in groups) on the Paperless Inpatient (PiP) component of the hospital's Electronic Patient Record (EPR) system.
2. Creation of materials to support this training.
3. Floorwalking to offer 'at the elbow' assistance and troubleshooting to users when the project goes 'Live'.
