Material Handler

**Position: Materials Handler**

***Location: Bishops Stortford**

**Salary: £26,000 - £28,000**

Proactive are currently in search of an experienced Materials Handler to start work immediately for a client of ours in Bishops Stortford. You will be joining the Stores and Production team to regulate parts and materials to the manufacturing teams, to ensure they are regularly stocked and ensure they have parts to complete the production targets for the day. You will be required to complete work involving standing, bending and moving parts and deliveries. You will also be involved in stock management to maintain the supply of parts to manufacturing and liaising with other departments regarding stock issues and requirements.

- Ability to prioritize and schedule tasks to ensure timely completion of job responsibilities
- Interpersonal skills and ability to work with all employees at all levels of management

**Duties will include but not be limited to**:

- Weekly replenishment of "supermarket" stock racks, lineside to each assembly cell
- Daily replenishment of kit trollies for each assembly line operator to ensure completion of orders
- Reactive attendance to all operators in the event of stock outs, parts required urgently, and replacement of faulty items
- Initiation of Non-Conforming process, liaising with the Quality department for faulty part identification and replacement process
- Identify areas for improvement in relation to process steps and deliverable methods in order to increase efficiency
- Working with the Production Supervisor and CI Manager, implement LEAN principals and processes
- Organise and manage physical and system based stock locations in order to streamline procedures
- Involvement when required in completing and overseeing stock cycle counts and annual full stock takes
- Working closely with the Buyer to advise of low or non-stock issues, or adhoc consumable products required on the factory floor
- Liaising with the Planner to ensure timely supply of raw materials to the assembly lines in accordance with the output demand, for alternative spec machines on an adhoc basis, and to advise of any impacts which may alter the production schedule
