Junior Buyer

At Snap-on Tools we have a great opportunity for a customer-focused individual to join our team as a Junior Buyer.

Working closely with Sales and Production, the Buyer will utilise their in-depth experience to ensure that the product range supports the company’s overall strategy and goals.

By gathering and prioritising product and customer/sales requirements, you will source and price suitable products, plan and communicate changes in product lines and identify gaps in the market that can be filled.

You will also research, together with Sales, what customers will need and negotiate with suppliers to purchase the products to fill gaps in the Snap-on Industrial assortment, so that we can offer our customer base a complete assortment for their needs.

From time-to-time you will also be responsible for sourcing parts or materials which are then used to fabricate or combine Items (Specials) which we sell on to customers.

As Buyer, your role must ensure gross margin guidelines are followed and customer satisfaction is met alongside managing product maintenance throughout the product life-cycle.

We need someone with previous 'Buyer' experience. They will:

- Have excellent communication skills to help negotiations and ensure that expectations are clear
- Have relationship building and networking skills
- Who has financial and accounting knowledge for calculating margins, gross profit and discounts
- Have knowledge of fabrication and manufacturing techniques (advantageous)
- Understand supply chain management and logistics.
- Have excellent computer skills and knowledge of spreadsheets, presentation software and other stock management software and systems
- Will high high attention to detail and high standards for quality control
- Is able to multi-task & juggle between projects in a very busy environment
- Be ambitious and enthusiastic enough to thrive in a company that rewards excellence

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract

**Salary**: £28,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
