**About The Role**: We currently have an exciting opportunity for a
**Technical Auditor** to join our Technical Team.

This role will support the Technical Manager in maintaining product quality, safety and legality throughout the business by ensuring procedures within the company are followed. You will monitor safety, legality and quality issues relating to raw material, WIP and finished goods in production, manage internal audits, technical testing and non-conformances plus the management and monitoring of complaints.

**Your key responsibilities will include**:

- Support the GMP KPI reporting function, as required by the Technical Manager or the Quality Manager
- Assist in customer and third-party audits: BRC, ASDA, EHO and Trading Standards
- Assist the Technical Manager in developing the Quality Management systems and processes in line with legal, customer, company and other best practice requirements, which create, maintain and improve the integrity and food safety and quality of all products manufactured
- GMP Champion for site - lead and further develop GMP Auditing system, conduct GMP Audits, drive best practice through business, specifically on High Care Standards. Develop a system that allows for reporting GMP Audit Scores and communicate through site
- Effectively manage & conduct the site allergen/speciation/swabbing schedules working alongside and in the absence of the technical coordinator when required
- Update and maintain the internal audit schedule and conduct internal audits to ensure compliance
- Work closely with other team members, and also under one’s own initiative to maintain company QMS and meet customer expectations
- Assist the Technical Manager/HACCP Team Leader in the maintenance of the site HACCP plan and VACCP/TACCP plans
- Ensure that processes, packaging and documentation are meeting best practice. Verify, on the factory floor, correct implementation of processing specifications and Technical Operation documents
- Provide support on the internal complaints system providing the Technical Manager/QA Manager and wider business with trend analysis if required in the absence of other Technologist/Technical Coordinator
- Review supplier documents to ensure compliance and report on findings
- Ensure internal audits (including traceability exercises) are carried out in a timely manner
- Assist in managing the creation, amendment and control of factory specifications providing cover in the absence of the Technical Compliance
- Carry out regular reviews and investigation on the feedstock’s present on the quarantine list
- Support and Audit on Industry standards to ensure compliance - BMPA and Red Tractor, and any other as applicable

**What are we looking for?**
- Previous experience of leading and conducting internal and external audits
- Good working knowledge of all accreditation standards and relevant legislation
- Ability to highlight route cause analysis and communicate prevention methods to Managers
- Trained in food safety and hazard analysis as well as knowledge and aware of HACCP, BRC, KPI’s and GMP’s
- Excellent Excel and Microsoft office skills
- Trained in food safety and hazard analysis
- Must demonstrate drive and passion for food
- Demonstrate resilience, be enthusiastic and motivated with a ‘can do will do’ approach
- Must lead by example, enjoy work and encourage others to do the same
- Excellent communicator and relationship builder with junior staff, external clients, regulators, suppliers and management peers
- Highly organised with the ability to organise others and a meticulous attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure
