Job Overview

Permanent 1.0 WTE Highly Specialist CAMHS Practitioner in the Emotional and Behavioural Pathway.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Highly Specialist CAMHS Practitioner to join our thriving Emotional & Behavioural Team (EBT) within North Bedfordshire Specialist CAMHS.

Our team is inclusive and we consciously think about varying contexts we work within (i.e. racial, cultural and socio-economic factors). Our work is underpinned by strong values to treat each other, service users and agency partners with respect and care.

We take a multidisciplinary, reflective and formulation-based approach to work with young people and their families within their multiagency context. Our treatment approaches are embedded in the iThrive care framework and informed by a resilience model of health. We encourage joint working across the disciplines for effective clinical interventions and for trainee development.

Bedfordshire and Luton CAMHS is a highly comprehensive service with a reputation of being flexible and innovative in meeting the complex mental health needs of Children and Young People, and their Parents/Carers. There are a number of teams, such as the Adolescent Mental Health Team and Crisis Team, Emotional & Behavioural Teams, Neurodevelopmental Team, and our Access Pathways. There is a broad spectrum of disciplines and a long tradition of effective multidisciplinary and interagency working.

Bedford, close to the M1 is easily reached by rail and car from North London, Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Northamptonshire. The Trust also has an arrangement for 50% discount on season ticket fares with Thameslink, the rail provider, for its staff.
