Transport Driver Cgh

Wirral University Teaching Hospital, Facilities Department, Clatterbridge Hospital are looking to recruit a hard working, enthusiastic individual to join our team.

The role of the Driver is to support day to day running of our hospital that will provide a safe healthcare environment.

**General transport duties will include**:

- have good communication skills
- have a flexible and adaptable approach to prioritise workload
- have good customer services skills
- be friendly and approachable
- be passionate about delivering a high quality service

Previous driving experience is desirable and full training will be given. Uniform will be provided.
- Driving of appropriate vehicles, taking due care and attention for the wellbeing of colleagues, patients, visitors the public and other road users
- Delivery of stores to clinics
- Delivery of post and specimens
- Deliver suitcases of patient records efficiently and correctly as directed
- Delivery of clean and dirty linen to other hospitals weekly
- Assist other colleagues
- Collection and Delivery of specimens and transfers of staff between sites as per work schedule. Delivery of Theatre and Pharmacy products (including controlled drugs) as per work schedule.
- Complete Ad Hoc work which is work not on an agreed schedule and may involve the transfer of office equipment, furniture, beds, and fridges as instructed.
- Deliver goods distribution materials to clinics, hospitals and patient homes
- Load vehicle with stores, laundry clean and dirty, bloods, mail, pharmacy, theatre instruments and medical records
- Ensure all passengers are correctly seated within minibus prior to commencing the journey
