**About the Trust**

GMMH head office is based at Prestwich, Manchester and it is easily accessible via both car and public transport. There is onsite parking and additional visitor car parking (fees will apply). It has an onsite restaurant where staff are eligible for a discount. There is also a café where drinks and light snacks are available.

**What you’ll be responsible for**:

- Provide a full range of secretarial and administrative duties including audio and copy typing, word processing, generating routine correspondence, taking notes and minutes and photocopying/binding of documents.
- Receive a variety of telephone calls on behalf of the Director(s) using initiative to deal with matters where possible, taking messages and re-directing calls as appropriate.
- Organise and maintain diaries, electronic or otherwise. Prepare papers for the daily appointments in advance for the Directors.
- Maintain a bring forward system for progress chasing outstanding enquiries, comments and actions. Be proactive and forward plan agenda items and supporting papers for regular meetings. Progress chase reports which are being produced on the Director’s behalf.

**You’ll learn the following whilst working at the trust**:
1. An in depth understanding of the roles and responsibilities involved in working within the NHS

2. Knowledge of the systems used, to effectively complete your role to the highest standard at all times

3. A sense of teamwork, gained through working alongside and supporting colleagues from all levels, within the organisation

**You’ll have the following skills/experience**:

- Excellent communication skills
- both verbal and written
- Microsoft office skills
- Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
- Previous NHS experience
- At least 3 years proven PA experience at Director/senior manager level.
- Experience of arranging and administering multiple and complex meetings, including taking and transcribing minutes.
- Experience of working for more than one manager
- Experience of setting up systems for managing and monitoring information
