Kingswinford Methodist Church Playgroup is for children aged 2-3 years, helping prepare them for School Nursery and is registered with OFSTED and works towards the Early Years Foundation Stage.

The opening is for an experienced **Childcare Practitioner** to work with the existing Team. You will need to be qualified - **NVQ Level 3, NNEB, BTEC National Diploma in Childcare or equivalent.**

**The role will entail**:

- Being a Key Person for a small group of children aged 2-3 yrs
- Working closely with the other members of the Playgroup Team, assisting to organise activities, and helping provide a safe, caring and happy environment for the children where they can play, develop and learn
- Attend regular Staff Meetings
- Carry out observations and complete development records
- Help prepare the rooms and pack away at the end of the Session
- Talk to Parents/Carers, working in partnership with them to meet each child's needs
- Help prepare children's Snack

**Applicants will need to be**:

- Well organised with good writing skills
- A willingness to undertake further training is essential
- A knowledge of Child Development and the EYFS is preferred but not essential
- Flexible and enthusiastic and enjoy working with children aged 2-3 years and be able to communicate confidently with them and build a good relationship with their Family Members.

**Working Hours **:Monday : Wednesday : Friday mornings : 9.00 - 12.00 Term Time Only
**Experience **:Working in a Childcare Setting preferred but not essential

**Safeguarding Commitment **: Successful applicant will undergo an Enhanced DBS Check prior to commencing their employment

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 10 per week

**Salary**: £10.90 per hour
