**Associate Osteopath** (Osteopathy Clinic)

Epsom

**Associate Osteopath Duties/responsibilities**:

- Responsible for providing a high standard of assessment, diagnosis, evaluation, treatment and advice to private patients who may have complex conditions including multi pathology.
- Offer patients the opportunity to be seen by a qualified practitioner with shorter treatment times
- Facilitate and provide the opportunity for peers and students to observe the treatment of their patients
- Use well developed, research led clinical reasoning of the patient's needs and provide clinic treatment.
- To work as an autonomous practitioner taking responsibility for the management of patients on own caseload without direct supervision.
- Maintain patient documentation, records and accurate statistical information to reflect care provided and to meet professional standards and clinic policies.
- As the clinical provision expands it expects to offer specialised clinics alongside its general clinic, this includes osteopathy & acupuncture, sports injuries and rehabilitation, mum’s babies and children, and requires Associate Practitioners offering the same areas of interest and expertise.

**Associate Osteopath Details**:

- The appointment will be for 12 months in the first instance.
- Fees charged by Associate to be agreed with Curriculum Manager for Osteopathy.
- Hours worked to be agreed with Curriculum Manager for Osteopathy (when reception cover is provided).
- Fees: 50/50 split in the first year 1, invoiced by Associate at the end of each month. Moving to a 55/45 split in year 2 and a 60/40 split in Associates favour in year 3, dependant on satisfactory review by the Curriculum Manager for Osteopathy.

Applicants must be willing to undergo child protection screening including checks with past employers and criminal record checks (enhanced DBS clearance).
