ROLE SUMMARY:
We are looking for a dynamic, passionate, and strong leader to join and lead our Brewing team. As Head Brewer, you will be responsible for all Brewing and Brewing Maintenance operations from raw materials to bright beer. You will lead a team of salaried and hourly employees to live our values of safety and quality, and drive performance improvements in KPIs such as sensory, TEL, and Micro. You will empower your team to solve problems and continuously improve, and support them with strong technical aptitude, keen business acumen, and strategic vision on our brewery’s journey toward excellence.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Department Head responsible for the safe operation of all Brewing process areas from raw materials to release of bright beer.
- Fully accountable for beer quality. Lead taste panel. Evaluate taste profile of brands to ensure quality and consistency.
- Active member of Brewery Senior Management Team responsible for site level decision making and coverage.
- Oversee professional development of a team consisting of brewers and managers.
- Lead the development of and actively monitor all critical control points, analytical and process data to ensure consistency and quality of all products.
- Utilize VPO and Management Pillar tools to achieve KPI targets and close gaps in performance (root cause analysis, gap analysis, MCRS meeting schedules and action logs, 5 Why's, PDCA and SDCA cycles, etc.).
- Understand financial drivers and ensure budgets are achieved.
- Drive modernization improvements and process improvements.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Science (e.g., fermentation science, food science, biology, etc.).
- In-depth knowledge of theoretical and practical brewing process, and process engineering.
- Proven capability to manage and lead a 24/7 department
- Strong financial acumen. Proven ability to build and achieve budgets. Brewing specific financial experience preferred.
- Strong leadership, social skills, team orientation, and technical problem-solving skills.
- Experience with maintenance management and practices.
- Familiarity with Quality Assurance, Utilities, and Operations processes.
