Let us introduce you to gentleman Martin and Adam:
Martin is a young man, living in his own home receiving 24hr care. He is looking for people to join his team who are vigilant, determined, and resilient.

Martin likes structure and routine, he has an extremely jokey and fun sense of humour, and loves his team to join in. Walking is something that is important to Martin and his team must be able to enjoy this activity with him, he loves long walks and adventures so make sure your walking shoes are handy

Martin's passion is Disney, he enjoys all aspects of this including watching movies, signing along and playing out the parts. He also enjoys other cartoons including Thomas the Tank engine and Looney Tunes.

Martin requires support with all aspects of his care, including personal care and household tasks.

Adam is a young man who lives in his own home with a team of Personal Assistants who provide care over 24hrs. Are you motivated? Active and determined? Here's a little more about Adam:

- Adam has a passion for football and enjoys watching his team play either at home or attending matches with his family. He also likes shopping for new games for his PlayStation and buying new CDs from HMV to add to his collection. Adam also likes playing ten-pin bowling with his family and loves when his support team joins in too.

Adam requires support with all aspects of his care, including personal care and household tasks. He loves home cooked meals and Adam can be encouraged to help with the planning and preparation of meals whilst being aware of potential hazards.

Personal Assistants (Support Workers) have the most important role within ENABLE Scotland by making a positive difference every day to the lives of the people we support. No two days are the same for our Personal Assistants but what we can guarantee is that you will be supporting someone with a learning disability to achieve their goals and outcomes - whatever they may be

Each person we support has different support needs, so your role as Support Worker may include assisting them with various aspects of personal care, moving and handling or positive behavioural support whilst expanding their social networks and connections.

ENABLE Scotland creates a bespoke team around every individual we support, and our team of Personal Assistants work collaboratively to ensure the safety, wellbeing and aspirations of the people we support are met.
