On our Projects within the Data Centre Sector, **we assume role of Specialist Prefab M&E Contractor**, meaning we have control of all elements of our build;
- Design
- Chilled Water Distribution Systems
- LTHW Distribution Systems
- Plantrooms
- Electrical Distribution Modules
- Delivery
- Installation

**Job Title** | **Lead QS Data Centres**
**Location** | **Head Quarters - Banbridge, Co Down**
**Hours** | **38 hours. 8.00am to 5.00pm Mon to Thurs & 8.00am to 3.00pm Friday**
**Salary** | **Competitive depending on experience**
**Responsible to** | **Head of Commercial**

**Key Responsibilities**:
We have detailed below some of the key elements of this role,
- The commercial management of multiple data centre projects, from client award through to AH package award state,
- Responsible for securing the financial delivery of these projects by controlling costs - utilizing your Team of Senior QS’s and QS’s.
- Wider company integration with our production & fabrication teams to lead on AH’s commercial impact of in-house production/fab capacity.
- Developing and leading on commercial reporting of in-house production & fab teams and reporting same back through senrio commercial team.
- Lead on reporting of commercial impact of in-house production at weekly production management meetings.
- Through close ties with wider fab/production teams & associated costs, provide vital feedback & interrogation of estimating rates for data centre fabrication.
- Continuing to build the Teams interrogation of package budgets & setting of our delivery budgets while working closely with our in-house tendering teams to go to market.
- Liaising with contracts, estimating and pre-construction teams to obtain full understanding of each project scope.
- Review and collate your Teams subcontractor packages.
- Vette and process monthly subcontractor payments within your approval levels.
- Review and interrogate new and existing contracts, orders, and suppliers to ensure associated terms and conditions are relevant and acceptable.
- Track & maintain monthly job performance reporting and feedback the same to Head of Commercial.
- Vette your Teams monthly valuations following site measurements and work-in-progress reviews and follow up to make sure that payments are received on time as per the agreed contract conditions.
- Attend monthly commercial meetings to provide update on any ongoing contract specific negotiations and overall job performance.
- Assist in the commercial activities of the business and provide support/advice in this regard to the Projects Managers as required.

**Skills, Knowledge and Expertise**:

- Third level qualification in a Surveying or Cost Engineering discipline or can demonstrate an equivalent level of experience.
- **Minimum of 5 years’ experience** in a senior estimating management/commercial role, ideally within the M&E sector
- Commercially astute and ambitious
- High standard of organisational and time management skills.
- Sound knowledge of general construction methods.
- Working knowledge of labour, plant, materials and equipment rates.
- High level of IT literacy, especially in Microsoft Packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Good communication skills.
- Management experience
