**What will you be doing?**
- Coordinate and direct control room operations to ensure consistent power production and steam turbine operation working to operating standards and specifications
- Monitor and control process parameter conditions such as flow rates, pressures, temperatures
- Assist the Shift Team Leader (STL) with the operation and monitoring of plants from a central control room including first-line fault diagnosis
- Take immediate corrective action to limit risk to people, plant equipment and production during emergency situations
- Monitor and control the usage of raw materials, chemicals and other plant utilities effectively to an optimum level
- Participate in all phases of start-up and commissioning of the boiler, turbine generator and all plant auxiliaries following shutdowns
- Other duties will be required from time as a request from Senior Management

**What are we looking for?**
- Recognised Engineering Apprenticeship or Operational Training course
- Previous experience gained in a similar role
- City and Guilds Principles of Operation of Small Thermal Plant For Heat & Power Production is advantageous
- IOSH working safely
