We have opportunities available for Repairs Inspectors to join our Repairs team and deliver a full range of technical repairs inspection services to maintain our housing stock.

**The Role**:
Our Repairs Inspectors will carry out the full range of technical and inspection duties in relation to repairs and minor improvements to occupied and void homes, external and communal areas and playgrounds. This will include quality checking of work andthe relevant administration raising works orders, checking and resulting post inspections, work supervision, contractor liaison and progress monitoring to ensure target dates are achieved and quality standards are met. Youwill also provide technical supportand advice to THH teams, client departments, tenants and leaseholders, as well as ensuring customers and other stakeholdersare kept informed of progress.

You will need to have a sound knowledge of IT repairs systems (Northgate and iCase) and usual IT packages such as Word, Excel and Outlook. You will also provide support to team members and other departments with technical advice and recommendations in orderto resolve complex repairs issues.

The role also involves fulfilling repairs rotas with teammates and ensuring works are compliant with issues related to health and safety and fire safety.

You’ll be joining a fast paced and demanding environment, which carries out over 55,000 responsive repairs and 10,000 statutory services each year. Our main objectives are to continue to improve on customer satisfaction and to further increase the numberof repairs completed "right first time" and ensure all works are carried out within the designated target times. This relies on all parts of the repairs business working effectively and collaboratively with our internal and external stakeholders.

**About You**:
You’ll have significant experience of working in a Repairs and Maintenance environment and experience of providing technical support and advice to a range of stakeholders.

You will have first class technical and customer services skills, as well as an ability to build relationships quickly with internal and external stakeholders and customers and to be able to provide excellent repair diagnosis, solve problems, provide technicallyaccurate reports, embrace and understand compliance, health and safety and what makes a fantastic repairs and maintenance service within a social housing setting.

You’ll have great technical knowledge and skills, be confident and competent in the use and interrogation of databases and IT systems. You’ll be able to deal with large volumes of work and be flexible to accommodate changing priorities in line with the demandsof the service.

The work can be high-pressured and challenging, but it is also rewarding. Additional training and systems familiarisation will be provided. It’s your ability to manage repairs contractors, support staff, use your diagnostic and customer care skills thatare essential to us.
