An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Foodbank Support Worker to join the Citizens Advice New Forest team. The role will provide advice and support to Ringwood and Fordingbridge foodbank users who are experiencing profound difficulties in managing financial problems including debt and benefit issues, and who may face additional problems such as the threat of homelessness. The Foodbank Support Worker will act as a bridge between clients and the Citizens Advice team to aid engagement in the processes associated with addressing their issues.
- Passionate about helping vulnerable people living on low incomes.
- A good listener, able to understand an individual’s needs and come up with solutions that will help them get to grips with their finances.
- A great communicator, full of empathy and able to work with people struggling with personal issues.
- A self-starter with a can-do attitude.
