**Job description**

**Apprenticeship Trainer - HR/ People Professional**

We are looking to appoint an experienced HR professional to lead on the delivery of our HR and L&D Apprenticeship Standards. While this role allows for hybrid working some attendance at our offices in Fareham will be required.

**About the role**

The Trainer will ensure that all apprentices will have an opportunity to thrive and succeed in their role and chosen training programme. They will also be responsible for mentoring learners during their work placements and ensuring they are in a safe environment where they can progress and learn.

Note that the salary is a range based on experience. The expectation for the top end of the pay band would be a qualified trainer with extensive HR and apprenticeship experience.

**Duties**
- Prepare and produce scheme of work and session plans as directed by the Quality & Curriculum Team.
- Maintain up-to-date and accurate records (e-portfolio and caseload tracker) for each individual learner according to internal procedures.
- Provide progression, retention and achievement information for the course being taught.
- Contribute to the self-assessment process which informs continuous improvement.
- Ensure electronic diaries are always kept up to date with detailed appointments.
- Deliver the Level 5 People Professional (CIPD L5 Associate Diploma in People Management) and potentially Learning & Development apprenticeships. Group workshop delivery and 1:1 delivery.
- Oversee learners achieving their Functional Skills training and pass within the given timeframe - FS Specialists in place to support.
- Provide learning support to learners that have an identified need for additional support.
- Undertake appropriate initial assessment of learners to ascertain their starting point on the course.
- Work with employers in order to maintain engagement and support for learners.
- Carry out regular progress reviews with learners in order to track progress towards timely completions.
- Provide on-going information, advice and guidance with learners in order for them to reach their aspiration.
- Collaborate with the End Point Assessment Organisation (EPAO), ensuring delivery fully meets the requirements of the Standard.
- Comply with the internal quality assurance procedures in order to ensure that assessments are delivered to a high standard.
- Undertake appropriate training as identified through the observation and line management process.
- Achieve good levels of compliance by maintaining timely records on OneFile and any other systems used.
- Any other duty which, from time to time, may reasonably be required to meet the needs of the business.

**Criteria**
- CIPD Level 5 Qualification and professional membership
- At least five years’ experience of working in a senior HR environment
- Knowledge of the effective teaching, learning and assessment practices to engage learners and the delivery of Apprenticeship programmes would be a distinct advantage.
- Ability to support and motivate learners through difficult and challenging times.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to manage own diary.

**Desirable**
- Teaching qualification (e.g. AET, CET, DET, QTLS)
- A1/CAVA - Assessor qualification

**Skills**
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Organised, self starter who can meet deadlines
- Team player who is able to build professional relationships at all levels of the organisation

**Training and Development**

If not already achieved, you will have the opportunity to work towards a teaching qualification during your first year. You will be provided with a full induction.
