Trainee Setter

Company Overview: GTL Plastics specialises in the manufacture and supply of plastic bottles, containers, caps and closures. All manufacturing is based in the UK, offering Blow moulding and Injection moulding facilities. Job Description: GTL Plastics is seeking individuals who are looking for a career change or are just starting their working career with no experience in setting but are interested in becoming an engineer. We welcome applicants of all backgrounds and experiences, and we are committed to providing full training to help you develop the skills you need to become a successful engineer.

As a Trainee Engineer, you will work alongside experienced engineers and shadow our skilled setters to learn machine setting and troubleshooting. You will have the opportunity to earn whilst you learn, and over time, you will develop the skills needed to progress to a skilled engineer role within our company.

**Responsibilities**:

- Learn to set and operate machinery
- Shadow skilled setters to understand machine troubleshooting
- Learn to maintain and repair machinery
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations
- Attend training and development programs as required

**Requirements**:

- No experience required
- No specific grades required
- Passion for engineering and a willingness to learn
- Must be 18 years or older for insurance purposes
- Able to work full-time on an 8-hour shift

Salary & Benefits:

- Starting salary of £10.00 per hour during training
- Opportunity to progress to a fully skilled engineer role with a salary of up to £17.00 per hour
