Electrical Supervisor

**We are a well-established street lighting company based in Leyland and we are looking for an experienced Street Lighting Supervisor to work at our Sefton depot.**
**Your main duties/responsibilities will be**:
**To read, and understand the Company’s Safety Policy, and to ensure that its provisions are being effectively carried out.**
**To ensure that all employees/subcontractors under their control follow the company's safe systems of work provided**
**Brief all changes in the health and safety and management control systems to the attention of all persons under their control.**
**To carry out site inductions and ensure induction records are maintained and correctly filed.**
**Ensure suitable risk assessments are carried out covering all processes and activities carried out by the Company, with adequate records maintained.**
**Make arrangements for the safe off-loading of machinery, equipment and materials from vehicles to safe and secure storage.**
**All relevant registers, notices and documents are maintained and available for inspection.**
**Ensure the necessary utilities are connected/tested and that they are maintained in a safe secure manner for each workplace.**
**To inspect machinery and equipment regularly in accordance with current legislation to ensure defects are rectified and maintain a safe working environment.**
**Set a personal example by implementing safe procedures and wearing PPE. Ensure that the employees take no unnecessary risks in pursuance of the Policy and safe systems of work are adhered to.**
**Adequate communication channels are maintained so that information concerning safety matters, including the results of risk assessments and work procedures, which may affect any employee or others, is communicated effectively.**
**Matters concerning safety raised by any employee or others are brought to the attention of the applicable managers and ensure that they are thoroughly investigated, and where necessary effective action is taken.**
**Carry out Toolbox talks and safety briefings ensuring that items briefed and attendance are recorded.**
**Consult with employees on matters affecting their Health and safety and encourage the participation of all concerned in improving health and safety Standards**
**Assessing sites for environmental aspects and impacts**
**Ensuring that all relevant documentation, procedures, and information are provided for site management in good time prior to the commencement of a project.**
**Receiving and responding to any actual or potential incidents reported onsite and reporting such to the relevant Director and deal with any relevant non-conformance identified, or complaints and communications received.**
**Ensuring that adequate emergency response equipment is in place and that instruction is provided to operatives, for dealing with all foreseeable incidents on site**
**Ensuring employees are adequately trained, experienced and competent to perform their designated tasks.**
**The following qualifications are the MINIMUM requirement to be considered for this role**:
- **SSSTS / IOSH Supervising safely (or equivalent)**:
- **C&G 2391**:
- **BS7671 18th edition**
**Other desirable qualifications**:
- **Previous experience as NICEIC Supervisor**:
- **First Aid**:
- **Manual Handling**:
- **CSCS**:
- **Other electrical Qualifications, as appropriate**:
- **Other qualifications/experience applicable to role**:
**Minimum 3 years experience as a supervisor (or equivalent)**
**A Full clean driving licence is also essential.**
**Salary will be dependent on skills and experience.**
