Caretaker and Cleaner

My client is based in a Catholic Primary school in Uxbridge who is seeking to appoint an individual to be responsible, under the general supervision and direction of the Site Manager and Senior Managers, working as part of a team, assisting in the cleaning,maintenance and security of the site thereby ensuring a safe working environment.

**Main Duties and Responsibilities.**
- The security of the school buildings and grounds and its cleaning.
- Cleaning duties may include working in all types of rooms, including offices, classrooms, kitchens, staff areas, halls, corridors and toilets.
- Maintenance and repair of fittings, furniture, minor plumbing, changing light bulbs, unblocking drains, repairing door furniture.
- The maintenance and decoration of certain aspects of the buildings.
- Operation of heating systems for the Site.

**Skills/Abilities/Knowledge**
- Carpentry, plumbing, painting and decorating
- Good interpersonal skills and an ability to relate and communicate effectively with staff, pupils' parents and contractors.
- Good written and verbal literacy and numeracy skills, Clear, legible handwriting
- Ability to keep neat and accurate records. Ability to work flexibly as part of a team Ability to show initiative when appropriate.

The hours would be 9am - 6pm with one hour lunch break

28 days holiday.
