Turner Lovell are currently recruiting for an international energy developer of carbon capture, storage and hydrogen production facilities. The company have ambitions to advance the energy transition by building assets, transport and store CO2 and hydrogenin facilities across Europe and the Middle East.

The role:

- Provide inspirational leadership to ensure the delivery of Facilities Engineering expertise for Carbon Capture & Storage and Hydrogen projects across Europe and the Middle East.
- Develop technical capabilities across the disciplines of facility and process engineering in CCS.
- Be responsible for evaluation of technical feasibility for use of existing offshore and onshore infrastructure (e.g. pipelines for CO2 transportation, material selection, capacity and flow assurance evaluation).
- Create a team vision and culture that encourages team work, continuous improvement, safety and proactive problem solving.
- Work with various internal and external project stakeholders and external providers to ensure each project and local country team has the correct resource allocation.
- Recruit high and develop a team of internal and external technical experts that can support projects from early-stage development through to operational status.
- Take an active role in stakeholder management: managing interfaces between the CCS / Hydrogen department and internal technical stakeholders, corporate skill / competency networks and in country teams.
- Demonstrate visible leadership, commitment to excellent HSEQ performance and compliance with international rules and regulations
- Set the safe working criteria for projects, ensuring all relevant procedures and operational requirements are embedded in the design,

What we expect
- At least 10+ years' experience with some team leadership in facilities engineering
- BSc / MSc or equivalent university degree within a relevant engineering discipline
- Experience with complex offshore facilities engineering projects (+1bn€),
- Passion for promoting HSEQ and continuous improvement.
- Experience leading teams of experts, setting the vision and fostering a team culture.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment, with high levels of ambiguity and complex stakeholder interfaces.
- Forward-looking mindset, driven to implement new technologies and different ways of working.
- Strong ownership mindset, with natural accountability and capability to deliver complex, capital-intensive projects.
- Willingness to travel across Europe to meet colleagues in other offices, projects and partners.
- Enthusiastic, open and driven individual with excellent communication skills and ability to build an open and transparent communication culture
- Able to build networks within the organisation and with external providers.
