**We’re hiring for a People and Engagement Officer in our People Team.**
**Location**:Hyde, parking on site. 10-12 minutes train journey from Manchester City Centre, free car park on site

**Hours**: The role is a full-time position, 9:00am to 5:30pm, 5 days a week, between Monday and Friday with an early finish on Fridays: 39 hours per week
**The role**:
The People and Engagement Officer partners with departments to provide comprehensive HR support. This role involves working with managers to implement HR programs and initiatives, advising and handling employee relations in line with company processes and procedures, and supporting day-to-day HR activities to ensure alignment with company goals. They will report back to the People Manager.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Department Partnership**: Act as the primary HR contact for assigned departments, understanding their specific needs and providing tailored HR support.
- **Recruitment Support**: Assist in the recruitment process, including job postings, interviewing, and on boarding new hires.
- **Performance Management**: Support the performance management process by assisting with performance reviews and development plans.
- **Training and Development**: Coordinate training and development programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
- **Policy Guidance**: Provide guidance on HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance and understanding within departments.
- **Employee Engagement**: Assist in developing and implementing employee engagement initiatives to foster a positive work environment.
- **HR Administration**: Perform HR administrative tasks, including maintaining employee records.
- **Compliance**: Ensure departmental adherence to company policies and legal requirements.

**Qualifications and Experience**:
- 1-2 years in a HR Role or similar position
- Understanding of HR practices and employment laws
- Level 3 CIPD (desirable not essential)
