- JOB TITLE: Traincare Operative (Industrial Cleaner)
- JOB LOCATION: Crofton, Wakefield
- HOURS PER WEEK: Average 40 hours per week
- SHIFTS: 4 on 4 off Permanent Nights
- SHIFT DAYS: Monday to Sunday (flexibility to work weekends)
- HOLIDAY ENTITLEMENT: 33 Days per years
- DURATION: Long Term
- Position Summary:

- To begin with you’ll be expected to complete a week’s training (with pay), on the role and site health and safety. Once the training is completed you’ll be placed on shifts with a team cleaning trains on the depot in Crofton.
- The position is based on a busy Rail depot and all applicants would be expected to complete the following:
- Physical cleaning including the roof of the Trains and other exterior
- Complete cleaning with various chemicals and cleaning liquids
- Manual labour
- Complete Bio-Cleans (disinfect toilets and buffet cars)
- Work within a safety critical environment
- Complete cleaning with various chemicals and cleaning liquids
- Manual labour
- Complete Bio-Cleans (disinfect toilets and buffet cars)
- Work within a safety critical environment
- Internally and externally clean trains
- Report any maintenance for fleets to go out into service at required standard
- Radio communication/ point of contact for team leaders
- Train staff to complete service/ heavy cleans to highest possible standard.
- Bio cleans/ fatality cleaner - also trained other staff to complete this using correct chemicals and procedure
- Underframe cleaning
- Industrial carpet cleaning throughout fleet for Cross County and Virgin trains
- Oxal cleaning (industrial acid clean) on exterior for Arrow Solutions promotion
- Diversity training
- Manual handling
- Health and safety ( Zero attitude scheme)
- Chemical handling (COSHH regulations)PLEASE NOTE ALL APPLICANTS MUST BE ABLE TO PASS AN DRUGS AND ALCOHOL TEST BEFORE BEING OFFERED A POSITION (this is standard procedure on Rail depots)
