Dog Grooming Apprentice

You will be working for a busy, fast paced grooming salon, attention to detail is essential.

Duties will include but not limited to;
- Dealing with clients
- Be patient and caring towards the dogs
- Washing dogs using the correct shampoos for coat type
- Drying & brushing dogs
- Preparing the dogs coat for the stylist
- Moving onto Clipping & scissoring dogs
- Cleaning the salon to a high standard
- Cleaning equipment

**Desired Qualifications**
- Maths GCSE or equivalent Grade 4/C or above in maths and English desirable but not essential.
- Applicants must NOT already hold a level 2 or higher in dog grooming.

**Future Progression**
- Potential Full Time Dog Grooming position.

**Training Provided**
- Full training to be provided by the employer and KEITS at the place of employment.
- The applicant will be working towards and gain a Level 2 Dog Grooming Apprenticeship
- The learner will be allocated an industry specific training consultant who will provide both remote and on site visits throughout the apprenticeship.
- The apprentice will work towards an End Point Assessment (EPA) at the end of their apprenticeship.

**Salary**: From £5.28 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 30 per week

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- No weekends
