Acorn is currently recruiting for a Production Technician - Scientific Manufacturer based in Wrexham
Main Duties:

- Cleaning components in preparation for assembly
- Constructing wiring/mechanical assemblies and completing tasks in a timely and efficient manner.
- Maintaining work areas and equipment for the purpose of ensuring a safe and organised working environment.
Additional Duties:

- Assisting other personnel or completing any reasonable task not usually undertaken as may be required for the purpose of ensuring an efficient and effective work environment.

**Responsibilities**:

- Observing and adhering to Health and Safety rules and procedures.
- Observing and adhering to quality procedures to satisfy BS EN ISO 90001:2000 requirements.
- Observing and adhering to all general company rules and policies.
- Working under direct supervision using standardised procedures; providing information and/or advising others.
- Nu Instruments reserves the right to vary or amend the duties and responsibilities of the post holder at any time according to the needs of Nu Instruments' business.
**Requirements**:

- Experience of Electrical/Mechanical assembly
- Experience of using a wide variety of hand tools including soldering, crimping tools and measuring equipment
- Soldering to component level
- Good knowledge of Electrical Safety
Desirable:

- Ability to read engineering and electronic schematic drawings.
- Experience of ESD handling precautions
- Experience with intricate mechanical assembly with a keen eye for detail
