We have a brilliant opportunity for a Clinical Bed Coordinator (RMN) to join us in the North East This is a great opportunity for a Registered Mental Health Nurse to join us in a newly created position and utilise their skills gained in a hands on clinical role. As our Clinical Bed Coordinator, you will work as a part of the services team to ensure effective use of resources to ensure the smooth flow of service users through the services to improve their experience. You will assist in the coordination of the support of service users and the coordination of all possible activity and bed management within the services.

About the job Manage the referral process, including meeting attendance and support needs assessment completion. Manage the discharge process with the Service Managers, Senior Clinical Lead and Clinical Leads ensuring all paperwork and processes are in place. Responsible for the efficiency, effectiveness, development and standardization of a comprehensive referral to discharge pathway. Leads the creation and management of key information around bed occupancy and availability, including advanced planning to ensure maximum bed utilisation.

Develops essential relationships with Service Managers, Clinical Leads, all external placement coordinators and central support services, including finance team. Reports directly to Head of Specialist Residential Services. Works with placement coordinators to ensure contracts are accurately prepared, including funding agreements and invoice preparation. Establish proactive relationships with referrers.

Liaise with multi-disciplinary team on behalf of the services, inclusive of meeting attendance at MDT Meetings. Undertake any reasonable duties/responsibilities to meet the needs of the organisation. About you NMC Registered Mental Health Professional Significant experience of working with people with complex mental health needs Substantial experience of CQC and other governing bodies guidelines, assessments and requirements Significant post registration experience Significant experience of meeting agreed performance targets in a service demonstrating clinical outcomes Significant experience of working with people who have experienced common mental health problems i.e. anxiety / depression Significant experience in robust risk management processes Significant experience of working with clients who may present as highly emotive ad at times present as aggressive or difficult Demonstrable experience of working 1:1 with service users with complex needs Demonstrable experience of working within Health, Social Care or VCSE systems What we offer in return We are proud to have been recognised and certified as a Great Place to Work, which speaks volumes on how much we value our staff members.
