We currently have a vacancy for a senior family key worker to join our support and safeguarding service in East of Wiltshire on a 2 year secondment. This position is based in Devizes but is a mixture of home and office working.

**About the role**

As a senior family key worker, you will establish strong relationships with children, young people, parents and carers to enable a thorough understanding of barriers to them achieving positive outcomes. This will involve undertaking more complex assessments through to planning and delivering interventions and direct work to develop resilience, strengthen family relationships and prevent the need for more intensive or specialist services.

This role also requires supervisory responsibility of a cohort of case holding family keyworkers, within the agreed supervision practice framework - including sharing knowledge, skills, and expertise to enhance their professional development and assuring the quality of keyworker practice.

**About you**

You will have a degree or equivalent experience/skills and have a strong understanding of child protection policies and procedures; and the importance of safeguarding children, young people and vulnerable adults.

Proven experience of working with vulnerable children, with thorough knowledge and understanding of child development and a commitment to improving outcomes for children and families is essential.

Some supervisory experience is desirable, but not essential.
