**About the Role**

The Research Governance, Ethics and Assurance (RGEA) Team in Research Services is seeking to appoint an Operations Specialist.

This role provides specialist support and management across all aspects of operational, financial and project management to the RGEA Team.

Providing support to the Director, Assistant Director, and Operations & Training Lead, you will join the dedicated operational team who provide cross-cutting support over the wide range of team activities and work streams.

This includes project management of a wide portfolio of operational activities that underpin the different functions across the team (Sponsorship & Ethics; Regulatory & Quality Assurance; Human Tissue Governance; and Risk & Insurance); with due consideration to the needs of the University’s Research Services Department and the wider Joint Research Office.

The role is varied and complex and therefore high levels of organisational skills, and willingness to support the administrative needs of groups within RGEA is essential.

To be successful in this varied and interesting role, you will need to be someone who has a proven track record of project management, excellent communication skills, adept at identifying and planning for potential risks, a critical thinker and problem solver. You will have a positive attitude with a flexible and adaptable approach to your work, alongside strong interpersonal skills to work with colleagues, and be comfortable when priorities change.

**About You**

To be successful in this varied, interesting and complex, high levels of organisational skills, and willingness to support the administrative needs of groups within RGEA is essential.

You will need to demonstrate a proven track record of project management, have excellent communication skills, and be adept at identifying and planning for potential risks.
