Childminder Assistant

This role requires variable hours from 7:30am-5:30pm Monday - Friday.

We are open all year round apart from bank holidays and Christmas.

**About the role**:
The role would suit a hard-working individual, with a passion to work with children from 0-11 years old. We seek a person who has a level 3 qualification or equivalent, someone who is confident and has outstanding knowledge of the EYFS (early years foundation stage) framework.

The role will include;
- Offering basic care, such as help with dressing, eating meals, changing nappies and making up bottles for babies.
- Encouraging children to play
- Leading activities such as drawing, painting and games.
- Supervising children on trips out, for example to go shopping or to the park.
- Taking older children to and from the nursery, school or playgroup.
- Discussing each child's needs with his or her parents regularly (a child’s key worker)

We are looking for an assistant who has the following attributes:
A variety of communication skills to respond to the needs of the child.

Empathy and understanding of children and their individual learning abilities/needs.

Patience and a good sense of humour.

Flexibility.

Reliability.

Willing to go the extra mile for children in their care.

**Salary**: £8.00-£10.00 per hour
