We are looking for honest, driven Lead Steel Erector with knowledge of steel structure principles with a will to work. We have a new and exciting opportunity to join our Team in Ely, CB6 1DN, UK. This is an excellent opportunity to work in Lead Steel Erector role across a variety of construction projects. The role will be responsible for constructing modular car parks.**Responsibilities**:_

The role you’d play as a Lead Steel Erector:

- Installation of steel components into position with tower cranes and other heavy machinery.
- Position the structural members of the modular car park through signals or physically align them into place.
- Verify that steel frames are in proper alignment as per drawings.
- Cutting steel to the right size, install steel beams where they need to go, and weld parts together in the modular car park structure.
- Erecting lifting tackles by attaching pulleys and blocks to fixed overhead structures and installing cables and attaching counterweights.
- Manage installation of steel girders, bars, beams, and reinforcements as a key member of the modular car park construction team
- Lifting prefabricated steel into designated spot.
- Layering and installation metal decks which are specifically designed for modular car parks.
- Measuring, cutting, bending, and fitting welded wire mesh into concrete areas to be mesh reinforced.
- Fixing mesh and reinforcing steel into position in formwork for concrete pours
- Concrete pouring on top of the deck surface of the car park.
- Install waterproofing and sealant to treatment using equipment in accordance with modular car park system.
- Pouring and setting asphalt.
- Installing vertical and horizontal facade system providing the best aesthetic to the modular car parks
- Follow blueprint and instructions from supervisors to perform all tasks involved in the installation of the car park.
- Communicate with supervisors and coworkers to ensure smooth teamwork.
- Examining and reviewing or assessing modular car park construction plans and preparing quantity requirements.
- Operating machinery like fork-lift, dumper, roller, etc.
- Must have experience in handling tools like driller, cutters, grinders etc.
- **Skill Requirements**:_
- Knowledge of construction in modular car park.
- Job requires the following motions: stretching, bending, lifting, pushing, pulling, twisting, throwing, walking, standing, reaching, and squatting.
- This job requires the individual to have a good hand to eye coordination and comply with all MCP industry regulations.
- The ability to use a variety of power tools.
- Logical and critical thinking skills.
- Good physical fitness.
- Confidence working at heights.
- Awareness and respect of health and safety guidelines.
- Excellent team working skills.
- **Additional Requirements**:_
- Attendance required according to company attendance policy to ensure crew can operate at normal efficiency level.
- Attitude, cooperation; must always maintain a courteous and professional manner with co-workers, customers, public.
- Ability to be flexible with last minute schedule changes, location changes, time of shift changes and overtime work required.
- **Safety**:_
- Ability to adhere to personal protective equipment (PPE) policy and maintain individual PPE in a functional condition. Personal Protective Gear Provided.
- Hired employees will receive safety training and hence forth must always maintain the safety standards outlined within the company safety program.
