Vaccination & Immunisation Overview
The vaccination & immunisation service supports the strategic and operational implementation of the vaccination & immunisation operations across North Wales. Each Area Team are responsible for implementing the agreed strategy and delivering a fast paced, dynamic vaccination & immunisation service to North Wales. Our strategy is to leave no-one behind and therefore the focus of the service to ensure everyone has equal opportunity to receive a vaccine should they wish to have one.
The post holder will work closely with a wide range of stakeholders including public health, GPs and cluster leads, pharmacies, local authorities, education, care homes, peer programme leads and other members of the Vaccination & Immunisation Service to ensure the consistency of approach throughout North Wales and make links with other vaccination programmes (e.g. Flu and childhood immunisation) to ensure that capacity is utilised as effectively as possible and all opportunities for raising the profile of the vaccination & immunisation service is utilised.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
