Passenger Assistant

We have an exciting opportunity available for Passenger Assistants in the Thanet area of Kent. This role is specifically suitable for individuals who are semi-retired and looking to make a positive impact. As a Passenger Assistant, you will be responsible for transporting SEN students to and from school during term time only. The shift involves 2 hours in the morning and 2 hours in the afternoon.

Your responsibilities will include:
Ensuring the safe entry and exit of passengers from the vehicle.

Making sure passengers are wearing their seat belts consistently.

Providing assistance to passengers with any specific needs.

Safely handing over children to responsible adults at their destination, be it school or home.

Maintaining effective communication with us, parents/carers, and teachers to address any concerns or issues that may arise during transportation.

While not mandatory, holding a valid KCC passengers assistance badge would be advantageous.

If you don't currently possess a KCC PA badge, we can assist you in obtaining an enhanced DBS check and arranging your attendance at the mandatory training course provided by KCC.

This is a part-time, permanent position offering a weekly salary ranging from £120.00 to £160.00.

Working hours are as follows:
Monday to Friday

No weekends required.
