Longitude Engineering UK is looking for a
**Senior Designer and**
**Autodesk Vault Administrator** to support the Longitude UK Draughting team. Outside of Vault Administration duties this person will also perform a
**Senior 3D designer role.**

**What you will be doing.**:

- Overall responsibility for day-to-day operation, upkeep and smooth running of Vault and Inventor Software.
- Maintenance of file structures, part numbering and naming conventions.
- Maintaining and updating libraries.
- Direct liaison with IT department and Autodesk reseller (or Autodesk directly).
- Performing Vault Maintenance.
- Grant user’s access to Vault, create and assign roles, create user groups.
- Modelling structures (fabrications and mechanical assemblies) in Inventor.
- Creation of high-quality drawings from Inventor models.
- Quality Assurance: checking drawings produced by fellow members of the Draughting Team.
- Management of future upgrades (e.g., transition from Vault Basic to Workgroup or Professional).

The role is to be based from any of Longitude UK’s existing offices in
**Newcastle, Southampton, Exeter, London or Dundee**. The incumbent will have the right to work and reside in the
**United Kingdom**.

**What we are looking for.**:

- Possess demonstrable knowledge and a high level of competence of CAD software in general and specifically Autodesk Inventor / Vault knowledge.
- Familiarity with a range of structures including ship structures.
- Can work independently on multiple projects with great project time management.
- Have experience in troubleshooting IT and CAD systems.
- Hold excellent knowledge of BS 888 (Technical Product Documentation and Specification).
- Can produce high quality drawings.
- Have good knowledge and understanding of production processes, including welding and fabrication and mechanical assembly.
- Are knowledgeable about and interested in marine design / naval architecture / structural engineering.
- Possess excellent communication skills; written and verbal.
- Have a good understanding of using and implementing changes to Autodesk Vault.
- Are committed to meeting and exceeding quality standards.
