**Main Accountabilities**
- Ensure full implementation of Red tag defect process. Printed tags with “do not use” should be available in all vehicles and equipment, the maintenance facility, maintenance vehicles and ramp operation offices.
- Ensuring an effective process of defective reporting is in place and all reported defects are reported to the GSE maintenance provider
- Ensure a robust process for the repair and/or replacement of faulty components
- Ensure Functional testing to confirm serviceability and that the fault has been rectified
- Ensure the scheduled maintenance tasks are carried out in accordance with manufacturer recommendations to keep equipment in satisfactory operating condition and preventing breakdowns and failures.
- Ensure all Maintenance costs for major repairs are approved by the Station Manager prior to any repairs being authorised or undertaken
- All directly leased or owned GSE shall be checked on at least a weekly basis. The checks should include coolant and oil levels, tyre pressure, fire extinguishers, windshield cleanliness and operation of the horn and brakes.
- Maintain records of weekly checks and retained for at least 6 months.
- Responsible for ensuring equipment is sound cosmetically, with correct logos in place, and maintain a regular GSE cleaning and washing program will enhance appearance, safety, and user and customer satisfaction
- Provide support in all aspects of asset management to ensure Radios, PDQ, PDAs and headsets (not exhaustive) are properly maintained to include the defect reporting, corrective maintenance and readily available quantity as required by the business
- Ensure sufficient PPE stock control is maintained to support the business needs
- To be pro-active in all areas by forward planning and taking responsibility for the job in hand.
- Ensure we are leaders in housekeeping on the airfield, with equipment being parked within designated parking bays and FOD is removed from vehicles.
- To actively give support, guidance and encouragement to your work colleagues.
- Carry out minor GSE repairs.
- Represent the Company in a professional manner at all time.
- Safeguard the health, safety and welfare of staff, customers and other visitors as required in full compliance with the Company Health & Safety Policy.
- To process in a professional and confident way any question, queries or grievances.
- Any other reasonable duty as requested.
- Experience and Knowledge of aviation services, in particular ramp handling and GSE operations would be an advantage.
- Available to undergo training and / or familiarisation to ensure competence and technical proficiency
- Experience in liaising with service providers and suppliers.
- Able to work with a multifunctional work force and to adjust to the local condition of the station.
- Well organised with meticulous attention to detail and accuracy, able to work on their own initiative to specific deadlines, have the ability to recognise and deal with challenges promptly and efficiently.
- Demonstrate ability to lead, coach and develop staff.
- Ability to work within a pressured environment.
- Must be flexible to adapt to changing demands/circumstance.
- Team player with strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to influence, motivate, negotiate and communicate effectively at all levels.
- Must be pro-active and forward thinking.
- Must be able to work all shifts Day/Nights.

**Safety, Security and Compliance**

- Inform their manager / supervisor of any work situation, equipment or activity that represents a serious or immediate danger to health, wellbeing, safety and security.
- Report any hazards, near misses, incidents, accidents or dangerous occurrences to their manager / supervisor, who will then follow the procedures contained in the HSE and Security manuals.
- Carry out work in accordance with information and training provided and any specific health, wellbeing, safety and security rules or procedures.
