Whitmar Publications Ltd is a leading B2B publisher for the print and packaging industries, delivering focused and high-quality editorial both in print and online. Due to continued growth we are seeking an experienced Editor to join our team. In addition to publishing market leading titles and online channels we also organise a number of face-to-face events, industry awards ceremonies and conferences.

This role calls for a highly-motivated individual with sound journalistic skills, the ability to grasp sometimes complex technical details and an outgoing personality.

As Editor of Digital Printer magazine you are the face of the title and will represent it at trade shows, press events and other printing industry events, including our own award ceremonies and roundtable discussions.

A key part of the role is liaising with the sales team to ensure the commercial success of Digital Printer magazine.

Digital Printer is published 6 times per year, and you will be instrumental in shaping, creating and ensuring quality control over all editorial content that goes into the magazine and its associated digital media and working with an assistant editor.

**Additional to the above, requirements of the role include**:
The ability to develop a broad yet specialist knowledge and understanding of the printing industry and the evolving technologies and business drivers within it.

Strong interviewing and writing skills

Creating editorial forward features lists through liaison with commercial staff

Managing a small freelance budget

Willingness to travel, including abroad.

A keen eye for detail and grammatical correctness

Willingness to work beyond standard office hours, especially when representing the magazine at industry events or meeting a deadline

Co-operating with the sales team on advertorial content as required

Helping to put together judging panels for awards

Working closely with production on the design and presentation of magazine

Ad hoc copywriting for marketing/promotional collateral

**Salary**: £35,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
