**_Role Overview**:_

**We are currently seeking experienced Health Care Assistants to join a dedicated team of healthcare professionals in the LA16 - Askam in Furness area to support an individual with complex care needs, in their own home.**

**Shifts**

Sleep in Night - 9.30pm - 7am

Days - 11am - 3pm

Days and Nights - 3pm - 9.30pm

Long Day Shift - 11am - 9.30pm

**All training will be provided by our team of experienced and qualified personnel.**

**Key role & responsibilities**:

- Keep the individual well and safe by being responsive, caring and aware of the individuals care needs at all times
- Provide appropriate levels of healthcare as trained, keeping the individual's health and well being as your focal point at all times.
- Enable and empower the individual wherever possible, safe and appropriate.
- Effective liaison between the individual, their family, healthcare professionals, management team and your team to provide a consistent approach that meets the needs of the individual.
- Promote independence, take and actively seek opportunities to engage in activities to stimulate and engage the individual - be creative
- Monitoring and maintaining records.

**Essential requirements**:

- Excellent verbal and written communication skill
- Ability to work as a team as well as individually
- Valid UK Driving licence
- 2 Valid references
- 2 Forms of ID
- Ability to work as a team as well as individually
- Eligible to work in the UK
- Willing to qualify - Level 2/3 health and social care diploma.

**Preferable (Non-Essential)**:

- DBS Certificate (Update Service)
- NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent
